Princess Cruises announces partnership with Stephen Schwartz

Producer: Jayson Raitt
Principal Designer: Kelly Easterling
Client: Princess Cruises

In a first-of-its-kind cruise industry partnership, Quantum’s Jayson Raitt and Stephen Schwartz (three-time Oscar winner and composer of Wicked, Pippin, and Godspell) will oversee the creative development of three new musicals for Princess Cruises.

Quantum produced two major press events to announce this partnership. In New York City on March 12, 2015, Quantum transformed the Hudson Theatre in Times Square into an old-fashioned vaudeville theatre for a performance by Stephen Schwartz with special guests Tony Award-winner Ben Vereen, Scott Coulter, and Tony Award-winner Debbie Gravitte as well as Princess Cruises executive.

In Santa Clarita, California on March 25, 2015, Quantum converted one of Princess Cruises giant rehearsal halls into a cabaret theatre for a presentation to press, travel agents, and VIPs by Princess executives. Stephen Schwartz once again took to the stage to perform some of his classic songs, joined by Broadway and cabaret star Liz Callaway, Barrett Foa from “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and Jill Whelan from “The Love Boat.” Quantum produced the performance and designed the venue, from the stage to the decor and centerpieces.
