Richard Chamblin is Creative Director for Quantum Creative Studios and has been a lighting designer and creative leader in the entertainment and museum exhibit industry for over 13 years. Starting with a background in live theatrical entertainment, Richard has built a strong career and now works on some of the largest and most innovative performances, attractions, and exhibitions in the world.
Richard has designed over 125 theatrical shows regionally in many notable LORT theatres across the United States. He had the distinct privilege to design the lighting for the Queen Mary 2 spectacular Forever Cunard that illuminated New York Harbor and lower Manhattan for the 175th Anniversary of Cunard Line.
Over the past several years as Chief Creative Officer for Luce Group, Richard has had the opportunity to lead several creative teams to design and implement exhibition lighting designs for The Smithsonian Institute National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Clark Art Institute, The Go For Broke Educational Center, and USGA Jack Nicklaus Room. Richard was also recently recognized with a THEA award for his and Luce Group’s work on The Smithsonian Institutes National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Richard has also lead creative teams to design and implement attraction and show lighting for attractions with Universal Studios Parks and Resorts, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, Busch Gardens, and several other major theme park and attraction clients.
