Kelly Easterling

Chief Creative Officer / Principal Creative Director

Kelly leads Quantum’s creative teams to realize each and every project, fostering a vibrant storytelling vision. His primary focus is imagining, designing, and developing attractions, themed environments, experiences, and shows.

Among his many projects for Quantum, Kelly designed and directed the historic Queen Mary 2 spectacular Forever Cunard that illuminated New York Harbor and lower Manhattan for the 175th Anniversary of Cunard Line; the installation of ride attraction lighting for the Drop of Fear free fall drop ride at World of Wonderland Theme Park, featuring a custom 65-foot, 360 degree video wall installed 200 feet atop the ride tower redefining the skyline of Amarillo, Texas; and numerous lighting and effects shows, ride attraction effects, and the park-wide lighting design for Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America.

Previously, as a member of the systems design team for 4Wall Entertainment, he was responsible for large-scale lighting projects and systems integration. He facilitated and project managed the design and installation of the Brooklyn Nets custom court lighting system at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Kelly also designed the control system and architectural integration of the acclaimed LightCycles art exhibit (inspired by the Aurora Borealis) at World Financial Center, New York. Additionally, Kelly led the design teams and managed themed installations for Google Tech Talk venues at Google offices in New York, Boston, and Washington D.C.

Kelly honed his project management and production experience working for venues large and small. As the Director of Production for the City of Portland Maine’s Merrill Auditorium, Kelly hosted such Broadway touring productions as Saturday Night Fever, Miss Saigon, 42nd Street, Rent, Stomp, and many more. He also supervised the installation of various touring concerts including Josh Groban, Melissa Etheridge, Rob Thomas, Styxx, and Jewel. Kelly served for five seasons as the Director of Production for the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey where he facilitated the realization of more than 100 full-scale theatrical productions, gala events, and touring shows. He also served as Production Manager for Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, New York.

Kelly has been the lighting designer for hundreds of productions across the country. Some of his design credits include Uprising of Love featuring Sting, Patti LuPone, and Jane Lynch at the Gershwin Theatre in New York and theatrical productions including Moon Over Buffalo, The Music Man, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Damn Yankees, The Wiz, Grease, and Guys and Dolls.

From lighting and effects spectaculars, to theming a land or attraction at a theme park, to a new musical, everything Jayson produces tells a story and creates a memorable experience. Jayson is a Tony Award-nominated producer who brings 20 years of creative development, management, and leadership to every project.

Jayson has produced nighttime spectaculars and complete park-wide lighting for Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America; major press events for Princess Cruises; and Forever Cunard, a light and effects spectacular, from the decks of Queen Mary 2 for spectators in New York Harbor/Lower Manhattan in celebration of Cunard Line’s 175th Anniversary.

In a unique partnership with Princess Cruises, Jayson will be developing new musicals with creative partner Stephen Schwartz. These shows, developed exclusively for Princess, will feature creative teams made up of top theatre writers, songwriters, designers, and performers.

As a live entertainment producer, Jayson’s work has been seen by millions. From producing an intimate corporate concert, to a large fundraising benefit show in a Broadway theatre, to a live performance televised on broadcast television, Jayson's hands-on approach means that every project is crafted with the audience and overall experience in mind.

Some of Jayson's producing highlights include: Sting and Patti LuPone in concert for Uprising of Love, an event hosted by Jane Lynch at the Gershwin Theatre in NYC; live television appearances by Christina Aguilera and dancers from the movie Burlesque on “Dancing with the Stars,” “The American Music Awards,” and the UK’s “X Factor”; concerts in Poland and Israel featured in the documentary film 100 Voices: A Journey Home; and appearances by Queen Latifah, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, and the cast of the movie Hairspray on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Today Show” and the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” Jayson also produced New Line Cinema’s 40th Anniversary Gala, a benefit featuring Jane Fonda, Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman that raised over $2 million for the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

Jayson has worked with such luminaries as Bea Arthur, Dustin Lance Black, Carol Burnett, Diahann Carroll, Phyllis Diller, Zac Efron, Bonnie Franklin, Debbie Gibson, Neil Patrick Harris, Florence Henderson, Jerry Herman, Megan Hilty, Greg Louganis, James Marsden, Mary Tyler Moore, David Hyde Pierce, Billy Porter, and Phylicia Rashad.

Jayson was a producer of Rock of Ages on Broadway, which earned five Tony Award nominations including Best Musical. With extensive background in producing and developing new musical theatre and entertainment, he also produced the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway hit musical Murder for Two, currently on a national tour; Love Makes the World Go ‘Round, a new musical featuring the songs of Bob Merrill (Funny Girl, Carnival, “How Much is that Doggie in the Window”, “Mambo Italiano”); a musical adaptation of Truman Capote’s A Christmas Memory; Vanities, A New Musical; Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn (Off-Broadway and in London); and Being Alive, an all-Black Stephen Sondheim revue created by Tony Award-winner Billy Porter.

Jayson spent seven years on the producing team at Pasadena Playhouse and graduated from University of Michigan and the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television's Producers Program.

Senior Project Manager

Prior to joining the Quantum team Nick served as a Project Manager in the Systems & Design Division of 4Wall Entertainment where he oversaw the realization of many projects including event facilities at Google New York, Washington DC and Cambridge MA; lighting system upgrades at The New York Metropolitan Opera; and the lighting system upgrade at The United States House of Representatives House Hearing Room. 

In addition to his permanent installation and construction projects, Nick has managed seasonal and holiday installations for companies such as Lord and Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Tommy Hilfiger, Brookfield Properties, Tourneau, Vornado Reality Trust, and AT&T.

Nick graduated from Purdue University with an undergraduate degree in theatrical lighting technology and stage management. Upon graduation, Nick began his career at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey located on the campus of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey as the Assistant to the Director of Production.

Creative Director / Principal Lighting Designer

Richard Chamblin is Creative Director for Quantum Creative Studios and has been a lighting designer and creative leader in the entertainment and museum exhibit industry for over 13 years. Starting with a background in live theatrical entertainment, Richard has built a strong career and now works on some of the largest and most innovative performances, attractions, and exhibitions in the world.

Richard has designed over 125 theatrical shows regionally in many notable LORT theatres across the United States. He had the distinct privilege to design the lighting for the Queen Mary 2 spectacular Forever Cunard that illuminated New York Harbor and lower Manhattan for the 175th Anniversary of Cunard Line.

Over the past several years as Chief Creative Officer for Luce Group, Richard has had the opportunity to lead several creative teams to design and implement exhibition lighting designs for The Smithsonian Institute National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Clark Art Institute, The Go For Broke Educational Center, and USGA Jack Nicklaus Room. Richard was also recently recognized with a THEA award for his and Luce Group’s work on The Smithsonian Institutes National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Richard has also lead creative teams to design and implement attraction and show lighting for attractions with Universal Studios Parks and Resorts, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, Busch Gardens, and several other major theme park and attraction clients.
