We are seeking a creative and experienced Scenic Painter to join our team. The Scenic Painter will assist the Production Team in creating all scenic and show sets for select Quantum projects. This is currently a contract, temporary opportunity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for painting theatrical sets, backgrounds, murals and props used in theme park and experiential productions. As needed, candidate may assist other team members with additional interior finish work including, but not limited to, generalized painting, stencil work, and installation of graphics, props, and wall coverings.
The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in various painting techniques, from traditional brushwork to airbrushing and have a deep understanding of perspective, color theory, and texturing. Skilled in graffiti style painting would be an asset.
The role of the Scenic Painter is to bring to life the vision of the producer and designer, creating visually stunning and realistic scenes that enhance the experience.
Responsibilities
Interpreting design concepts and transforming them into a painted reality.
Creating texture and effects using brushes, sponges, and other tools.
Collaborating closely with the production designer and scenic design team.
Maintaining the quality and continuity of scenic elements throughout the production.
Applying protective coatings to the set pieces for durability.
Performing maintenance and repairs on scenic elements as needed.
Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed while working.
Meeting production deadlines and managing time effectively.
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Scenic Painter, or similar role.
Experience in theme park or visitor experience is preferred, with theatre, film, or television production as alternative experience.
Strong artistic abilities, including a solid understanding of color theory, perspective, and texture.
Proficiency in various painting techniques, including brushwork and airbrushing.
Proficiency in graffiti style artwork.
Proficiency in installation of wall coverings.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy set pieces and equipment.
Comfortable working on ladders and at various heights.
Ability to travel to installation site and remain at installation locations for two to four weeks to complete project. Travel and accommodation will be provided if site is more than 90 miles from your residence.
A degree in Fine Arts, Theatre Design, or related field is beneficial.

The Interior Finisher/Installation Specialist will assist the Production Team in creating all scenic and show sets for select Quantum projects. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality finishing work that meets and exceeds our clients' expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for generalized painting, hanging wallcoverings, application of wall graphics, and installation of signage, mirrors, lightboxes, decor, and other scenic elements and props used in theme park and experiential productions.
The role of the Interior Finisher/Installation Specialist is to bring to life the vision of the producer and designer, creating visually stunning and realistic scenes that enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding, priming, and masking
Apply a variety of finishes, such as paint, stain, and varnish, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns
Installation of wall coverings, wallpapers, and wall graphics
Interpreting design concepts and transforming them into a painted reality.
Installation of signage, mirrors, lightboxes, decor and other scenic elements and props
Inspect and touch up completed work to ensure a flawless finish
Work with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Collaborating closely with the production designer and scenic design team.
Maintaining the quality and continuity of scenic elements throughout the production.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of materials and tools
Comply with all safety regulations and best practices when handling materials and equipment

The AV Installation Specialist will assist the Production Team in installing and maintaining all audio and visual equipment for select Quantum projects. This is currently a contract, temporary opportunity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installation of all AV equipment and devices, including but not limited to LED displays, projectors, speakers, related cabling, servers and control systems used in theme park and experiential productions. AV Installation responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, diagnosing technical issues, and ensuring the quality of sound and video output. The ideal candidates will be familiar with a variety of AV equipment, hardware, and software and be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
The role of the AV Installation Specialist is to bring to life the vision of the producer and designer, creating visually stunning and realistic scenes that enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair audio and visual systems, including LED displays, speakers, and projectors
Interpret blueprints for system installations
Running and managing cables and wires, ensuring they are properly concealed and safe
Configuring and calibrating AV systems to ensure optimal audio and video quality
Diagnosing and troubleshooting any issues with AV equipment
Performing regular maintenance checks on installed AV systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
Providing training and instructions to clients on how to use their AV systems
Working with vendors and suppliers to order necessary equipment and parts, including mounting hardware when necessary
Work with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Collaborating closely with the production designer and scenic design team.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift and move heavy pieces and equipment.
Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding and lifts, and at various heights.
